Introduction
HD horizontal thrust boring machine is an efficient and safe method to replace the conventional pipe jacking method for installing underground utilities, such as water pipelines, sewage pipes, electric cables and gas pipelines. Only small pits are required for setup of the machine, thus fenced off area is small and minimizing disturbance on activities above ground
The thrust boring machine can install casing with maximum diameter 1000mm. During drilling, the pipe jacking cylinders can provide maximum 150 ton thrust force to push the casing forward, preventing the soil from collapsing. At the same time, the rotator (with maximum torque 2400 kgm) rotates the inner auger drillstring to clear up the debris inside the casing.
A high speed rotary head is available as option for core drilling in rock formation.
